Courses in 2017-18:

CP Chemistry: This class presents a good review of basic Chemistry principles; There are 14 units, each about 8-12 class periods long; Each unit has a multi-page worksheet that is due on test day, along with the unit lab; Students receive one double-sided worksheet page per class, to be completed in class or for homework -- they can work in groups on these and/or ask me questions; The key to doing well in the course is keeping up with daily worksheet & getting help if they don't understand something; I am available to help them before or after school -- but some advance notice is appreciated; One test at end of each unit -- very similar to daily worksheets, so keeping up with worksheets is crucial to test success.  There are also questions about the unit lab on the unit test.; For each unit, the worksheet is worth 15 points, the lab 15 points, and the test 100 points; Overall course grades are weighted 20% for each marking period and 20% for cumulative course final exam.; Notes for each unit are posted on Google Classroom -- each student has been offered an 'invitation' to this site via school email.  Although the daily worksheets also serve as notes once complete.
