Jefferson School opened their doors wide and welcomed their families to our Open House on Wednesday, April 22nd.The fourth and fifth grade band played and the students were proud to showcase their work and outstanding projects done throughout the past several weeks.Kudos to Mr. Chiappini and Mrs. Carradori-Santiago for the wonderful music presentation and Art Show, respectively.The PTO held their Annual Spring Book Fair on both Tuesday and Wednesday. . Tuesday was Books for Breakfast at 7:30 AM! The PreK students came and shopped for their books as well K-5 enjoyed the shopping as well.The PreK Open House was held on April 29th.
The PTO’s Art in Motion Program continues to be a huge hit at Jefferson.Parent volunteers give presentations to the K-5 students on various artists and their painting styles.The students enjoy the art enrichment and do beautiful work. Special thanks to parent organizers Mrs. Bogerman and Ms. Lobosco.
On May 1st a “Surprise Assembly” was held to host two special happenings!The Jefferson School student body invited Jimmy Soder to Jefferson to present him with a check of $1, 591.97-total amount of money raised during Kindness Week, selling over 1300 carnations for Valentine’s Day and other monetary donations from Jefferson families.Also, he winners of the Autism Awareness Essays were announced by Mr. Al Weisz and Ms. Jen Roncincke.Gift cards to Well Read were donated by Mr. Al Schiavo, a Jefferson parent.
