Summer Curriculum Work
Director of Education
The Director will be the educational leader and administrative head of the K-12 instructional program for three elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. Must have curriculum writing experience, comprehensive knowledge of the Common Core State Standards and P.A.R.C.C., understanding the NJ State Assessments, current educational practices, and integration of technology.
Must have NJ Principal or Supervisor certificate.
Position available July 1, 2013
Director of Special Programs
Minimum of five years professional experience in special education, thorough knowledge of special education federal and state laws and regulations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, staff, parents, and students.
Must have NJ Principal or Supervisor certificate.
Position available August 1, 2013

SUBSTITUTES:
The Hawthorne Public School District accepts applications for substitute teachers, nurses, secretaries, custodial and maintenance workers, lunch aides, and bus aides on an ongoing basis. Substitute packets are available for pick up at the Board of Education Offices located on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Building, located at 445 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne, NJ 07506. Office hours are Monday - Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
